In Situ Episode 6 - Fahrenheit Seven

Can you introduce yourself? Can you introduce your establishment?

I'm Véronique Vidoni, co-founder of the Fahrenheit Seven group and artistic director in charge of the interior design of our establishments. Passionate about design and hospitality, I've always been keen to create living spaces that combine aesthetics and conviviality, where every detail is thought out to offer an experience that's both immersive and warm.

The °Fahrenheit Seven Courchevel perfectly embodies this philosophy. It's a 4-star hotel located at the foot of the Courchevel Moriond slopes, where I wanted to reinterpret the mountain spirit with contemporary design and a relaxed atmosphere, true to the Fahrenheit Seven DNA. We imagined a modern, lively and welcoming place, in tune with a new generation of travelers.

Can you tell us about your project? What was the background to its creation?

The °Fahrenheit Seven Courchevel project is based on my desire to offer our customers a place where they feel at home, thanks to a design environment that's up to date and warm. As the founder of our hotel concept and responsible for the interior design of our establishments, I've always been firmly convinced of the need to pay particular attention to decoration and ambience. A complete renovation of the Courchevel hotel was carried out in 2017, and I felt it was essential to start renewing some of the furniture, which is subject to intensive use during the seasons.

What role does design play in the history of your hotel?

Since the creation of Maison °Fahrenheit Seven, it has always been obvious to me to create places that are charged with soul and that don't leave anyone indifferent. My aim is to enable our customers to blossom in the world we offer them; they must be able to relax and enjoy our spaces to disconnect from their everyday lives. The decoration of our hotels, the choice of furniture, colors, fabrics and materials, may or may not help to achieve this objective. It's also important to adapt the decor to the geographical location of our establishments.

What were your inspirations for this project?

What our mountain establishments all have in common is that they offer a warm, cocooning decor to combat the cold outside. The materials and fabrics used in our furniture are above all comfortable and easy to live with. Sharing and conviviality are also key words in the definition of our living spaces. The choice of seating is therefore essential to inspire the desire to relax, to curl up in deep, comfortable armchairs, or to enjoy a convivial meal in one of our restaurants. The rounded shape of seats is a trend that has been confirmed for several seasons and is perfectly suited to our environment.

What do you think of NV GALLERY furniture?

I fell in love with this brand. The shapes and finishes of the furniture are always of the highest quality. The fabrics are suitable for hotel use. The furniture design follows the latest trends on a daily basis, with new pieces offered regularly, several times a year.

What's your favorite piece at NV GALLERY?

The GIULIA range is my favorite for its rounded, comfortable shape, in many curly fabric colors that inspire the cocooning ambience I'm looking for. The RAY chair is also a favorite, as it's perfectly suited to giving our restaurant a chic, cozy touch thanks to a wide choice of fabrics that can be mixed and matched.
