SEASON 5 - EPISODE 4

At home with @camilleth

[NVG] Hi Camille! Can you tell us a little more about yourself — who you are and what you do?

My name is Camille, I’m 30 years old, and I live in the Arcachon Bay area with my little family: Paul, my husband, Augustin, who is 2 years old, and Adèle, who is 6 months old. I’ve been a content creator for the past 10 years.

[NVG] We’re here in Cap Ferret, the region where our new store is located... What role does this place play in your life and in your home?

I moved here because Paul has lived in the area since he was a child. We met at the Cap Ferret market bar one summer, seven years ago, and a few years later we built our home in the very same area to start our family. I love the wild, natural side of this place. And I also love that “chic yet laid-back” atmosphere that you find everywhere around here.

[NVG] How would you describe your interior style? Where do you find your inspiration?

I’d say my style is quite natural, understated, and timeless. I love wood, soft autumnal tones that can be found on my walls and in some of my artwork. In the living room, there are quite a few touches of camel and ochre — colours I really love for their warmth and softness.

[NVG] What was your vision for this house the first time you saw it?

Since we built it from scratch, we immediately wanted a house that felt very open to the outdoors! Large floor-to-ceiling windows, high ceilings in the living room... In the end, there are so many connections to the outside, thanks to these two large glass openings and the French doors in almost every room.

[NVG] When it comes to decorating, are you more driven by instinct or careful consideration?

A bit of both! I don’t tend to fall in love with décor pieces very easily, unless it’s something that will be released in a limited edition, like a piece of art for example. Otherwise, I’m very thoughtful about my choices. For the living room rug, for instance, it took me weeks and weeks to make up my mind! I want pieces that I won’t grow tired of over time, so I prefer to take my time.

[NVG] What are some of your favourite spots in the Bordeaux region?

I really love Mayzou and La Turlutte, two restaurants in Cap Ferret, as well as Auberge du Bassin in Claouey. Josie Coffee and Chacha are also great places for brunch! I absolutely love Les Sources de Caudalie for a truly relaxing getaway... And I have a little favourite spot in Bordeaux that I adore for its Caesar salad: Café de Minuit.

[NVG] What is your current décor obsession?

Leopard print and stripes... I’m a huge fan of leopard accents in my living room! I think they add a touch of fun and plenty of character.

[NVG] Why did you choose NV GALLERY pieces? What attracts you to our universe?

I love the timeless quality of NV GALLERY pieces! They’re the kind of pieces you never grow tired of, and the quality is exceptional. Our bar stools, for example, are unbelievably comfortable... it’s quite incredible!

[NVG] What’s your favourite NV GALLERY piece in your home? And why?

My HIGHLAND coffee tables! I think it’s incredibly difficult to find a beautiful coffee table, and these were an instant favourite. The combination of walnut and travertine is just so chic, in my opinion!

[NVG] Tell us about an object or piece of furniture in your home that has a special story behind it.

The vinyl record cabinet and the model boat that belonged to a family friend. She gave them to us before she passed away, and I’m so happy to have these memories of her in our home.
