SEASON 5 - EPISOD 1

At home with Lysiane

[NVG] Hello Lysiane! Can you introduce yourself?

Who are you and what do you do?

I’m Lysiane, 40 years old, married, and a mom of three kids.

I divide my time between creating content for brands, interior coaching, set design, consulting, and managing my Instagram page.

I try to be very present in my children’s daily lives, because after running a shop and a website for several years—and working non-stop—I now want to fully enjoy and share their childhood.

Being independent, I follow projects and opportunities as they come, guided by inspiration and encounters. I love challenges and discovering new things.

Decoration, aesthetics, and visuals are always close to my heart.

[NVG] How would you describe the style of your interior? Where do you find your inspiration?

Our new home has a Mid-Century aesthetic that I absolutely love.

Every renovation is different: we start with a blank canvas while keeping all the existing charm.

It’s a challenge every time, and it motivates me enormously. I love bringing out the beauty of a space and turning it into a cozy cocoon.

I don’t have a specific source of inspiration—each space, my feelings, and what catches my eye guide me.

[NVG] Which room in your home do you feel most comfortable in?

The room I spend the most time in and absolutely love is the kitchen.

It’s an open, super pleasant space where I cook with my family and entertain friends.

It’s a room entirely designed by and for us, containing all my essentials—I just adore it!

[NVG] What was your vision for this house when you first visited?

I immediately saw its potential, even though there were huge renovations ahead; you really had to imagine the possibilities.

Its location in the green countryside and its charm made me instantly think of creating the main living areas on the ground floor (back then, there were only basements, garages, and storage rooms).

For me, it was essential to create large openings to the outside and remove a floor level to achieve a cathedral ceiling.

The volumes and light immediately took shape in my mind. I instantly felt at home and knew this would be the one, our future home.

[NVG] How did you approach the layout and design of the space?

What were your priorities when organizing the volumes?

I planned the layout based on our needs and each family member’s wishes.

Homes evolve with us, so we talked a lot about what everyone wanted in terms of space and rooms. I combined all of these ideas while creating maximum flow between the different areas.

This way, the house contains everything that inspires and drives us in daily life. It’s designed entirely around our needs and desires.

[NVG] Did your partner and children take part in the decor decisions?

If so, how?

Yes, at every step!

My husband and I work as a team, and we were also supported by our friend and architect, Camille.

The kids chose their own spaces and decor, and even helped out during the renovations. I think it’s important to involve them so they feel comfortable and happy in their own little cocoon.

[NVG] Do you have a favorite NV GALLERY piece?

I’ve been dreaming of the ELEA sofa in brown velvet since the moment I saw it.

Love at first sight!

[NVG] Why did you choose NV GALLERY pieces?

What draws you to the brand’s universe?

I adore the brand’s artistic direction—the lines, the designs. The products are incredibly high quality and the aesthetic is flawless.

It’s both contemporary and timeless; with NV GALLERY’s selection, you really can’t go wrong.

[NVG] What advice would you give someone who’s about to start renovating a property?

I don’t really feel qualified to give advice.

I’d say it’s important to surround yourself with the right people, work with skilled craftsmen, think carefully about the work ahead and its costs, and don’t hesitate to ask for guidance.

But at the same time, you have to trust yourself and not be afraid!

[NVG] If your house could talk, what would it say about you?

I hope it would say that it’s happy with the life we lead here, that we take good care of it, and that it’s thrilled with its little “makeover”!

It would probably describe me as an epicurean, a decor lover who enjoys hosting, living fully, and pampering loved ones.

A joyful whirlwind!

[NVG] What’s your current decor obsession?

I love wall hangings, and I dream of treating myself to a piece by an Australian artist.
