SEASON 4 - EPISODE 1

At home with Marie and Mood

[NVG] Hi Marie! Can you tell us who you are, what you do, and where we can find you lately?

I’m Marie, a content creator since 2013, mainly on Instagram. I share my world through fashion, lifestyle and of course… interior design! I was recently in Greece for a wedding — a truly magical moment — and I’m currently in Lyon for the month of June.

[NVG] We’re in Lyon, your city of choice and also home to our second boutique… What place does this city hold in your life and in your home?

Lyon is a city that grounds me. It inspires me, just like my home, which reflects it: elegant, bright and structured. This is where I wanted to settle and create a space that feels both aesthetic, soft and welcoming.

[NVG] How would you describe your interior style? Where do your inspirations come from?

I’d say my style is very clean and minimal. I love neutral foundations — lots of white — elevated with statement pieces, often chosen for their materials: wood, velvet, travertine… These textures are what bring depth to the space. I also like adding touches of colour, especially through books — I find it very graphic and beautiful.

[NVG] You redesigned this entire apartment. Tell us about your approach, and what you had in mind.

Before, my old apartment was very busy, very boho, very decorative. I had juju hats, shell necklaces, lots of objects… and I felt the need to breathe. When I moved here, I wanted to create a more mature, more understated cocoon. I had that real moment of clarity: I wanted a more refined home, without ever sacrificing elegance.

[NVG] How did you think about the flow, the volumes, the materials? Is there a room you love the most?

What guided me was the materials. I built each space around them: dark wood, velvet, clean lines. I really designed every room like a breath of fresh air. My favourite? Hard to choose, but I love our FLOW armchair and the POWERS lamp from NV GALLERY — that sculptural base is just incredible. And I’m also completely in love with the PAUL sofa, which we’ll be picking up very soon in store...

[NVG] You mentioned personal touches… Did your children take part in the decor too?

(Laughs) Yes, of course! They left their mark with their stickers in their little corner, where you’ll also find the EERO Mini chair and the ANTONIO Mini desk — the dark brown wood is stunning, so chic, even for kids’ furniture!

[NVG] One piece of advice for those who want to start an interior design project at home?

Listen to yourself. Start from how a space makes you feel. There’s no need to do everything at once: take the time to live in the space, and let your desires and the materials guide you.

[NVG] What does interior design represent for you today, in your everyday life?

It’s an extension of myself. My home recenters me. It reassures me. It’s an extension of my well-being—a place where I can create, rest, and welcome others.

[NVG] Why did you choose NV GALLERY pieces? What do you like about our universe?

Because NV GALLERY allowed me to make this shift in my interior. Your lines are both structured and soft, the materials are raw yet refined, and there’s a real attention to texture. It’s exactly what I was looking for: elegance without heaviness, character without excess.
