Matchy-Matchy - Interviews

NV KIDS - Matchy-Matchy

Hello girls, introduce yourself.

Manon: I'm Manon, known as @manonlaime on social networks, Parisian, I'm an entrepreneur, founder of the brand @blondielemonade eco responsible swimwear brand & about to develop a second brand MAÌA for spring 2024. I share my daily life, my looks & my projects on my Instagram account, I've been married to Raphaël my darling for 10 years & we have two little girls, Roma & Pia. In love with the French art de vivre, Mediterranean culture, travel, Scandinavian decor and Italian food.

Laura : Hello, I'm Laura, @Lglora on social networks. I live between Normandy ( with my little family ) and Paris for my work as a content creator.

What's your typical day like?

Manon: Once I've got up, washed and dressed, I make myself a coffee while making breakfast with my daughters. I take it in turns to drop them off at school at 8:30 a.m. and then head off to my office to work with my collaborator Camille, or to a meeting or shoot in Paris. We love testing out new addresses and taking advantage of the opportunity to create content, as there are so many places in Paris that inspire me. Then it's back to the office or a 5 p.m. meeting, back to school to pick up the girls, and back to my life as a mom until they go to bed. Then I'm off to work on the computer, or to catch up on a series with my husband. I usually go to bed around 10-11pm max, and then I'm off again.

Laura: Every day will be different and punctuated by current projects. But what never changes is that it starts with a cuddle with my daughter, then we get ready together and the day ends with picking her up from school. Then we enjoy the rest of the day together as a family. Either the day is spent at home behind my phone and computer, or I take the train to Paris for a series of appointments and content creation. After she's gone to bed, I post on the networks and work for several more hours, so I can take full advantage of her and be there when she gets out of school.

How do you manage to juggle your different businesses with your life as a mom?

Manon: I've always loved planning, organizing and being a bit of a "control freak", so organization is part of my automatism. I love organizing my days, weeks, projects and routines in advance. It reassures me, saves me time and energy above all, and allows me to fit everything into a single day as best I can (although 24 hours isn't enough!).

Laura: Clearly I'm not an organized person, so what saves me is writing down everything I have in mind in my "notes" so I don't forget anything.

Do you have any tips or advice on organization?

Manon: My personal tip is the "to do list", I have dozens of notes in my notebooks, my iPhone notes... I list and organize (again) my projects, my missions, my desires, my inspirations... For example, it helps me to quickly find an idea when it pops into my head, because I write everything down!

Laura: Being well surrounded! Having a very supportive husband helps me reconcile my professional and personal life. We make a great team! A little tip: Using a shared diary application simplifies our day-to-day organization.

What's your relationship with design?

Manon: I've been an absolute fan of deco, art and design for years, and it all started with Scandinavian decorating about 7/8 years ago. and all the design and art of living that goes with it.

Laura: Interior design is very important to me, especially since I work from home. I like to feel good in my home, and I like our interior to be warm, but at the same time very uncluttered.

How do you go about thinking about the room(s) and spaces in your home, given that you have young children?

Manon: When I want to decorate or redesign a space, I always start by leafing through decorating magazines, making moodboards and then imagining the spaces with my current inspirations and favorites. I need a lot of white and purity in my decor, which comes from Hygge (a Danish art of living that inspires and soothes me) and it's the same in our bedrooms. I also love pastel colors, so it's soft, soothing and harmonious, but on the whole, white persists. With or without children, it's a must!

Laura: Julia spends a lot more time in her room than we do, so it was important for her to have the most spacious and bright room first. Then, as for the layout of the house, I like our interior to be fairly clean, with curves and light colors! And that's why we use removable fabrics, to cover up any little accidents. What helps us maintain these minimalist spaces are our storage areas in each room, to which she has easy access.

How do you go about decorating her/their bedroom(s)? What's most important to you?

Manon: I like their rooms to be fairly minimalist (despite the overflowing toys), with storage, accessible spaces for them, natural materials and soft, comforting tones. I avoid bright, dark and aggressive colors, as I need them to be in a warm environment where they feel comfortable and reassured.

Laura: She's beginning to assert her tastes, so it was important that she liked it and felt comfortable in it. When I showed her the furniture from the NV KIDS collection, she loved the idea of having a little sofa like her parents. The idea is to create a functional, comfortable yet aesthetically pleasing space for her. Its two large cupboards allow us to store all her toys while remaining accessible.

The NV KIDS collection in 3 words?

Manon : NV KIDS in 3 words: curves, comfort, design.

Laura: It's a Matchy-Matchy collection that's stylish, comfortable and sturdy.

What's your favorite piece in the NV KIDS collection?

Manon: Without hesitation, the ENZO bench, which will accompany Roma for years to come, as her decor and tastes evolve... It's timeless, elegant and so comfortable that, whatever her age, it will fit perfectly into her world.

Laura: My favorite is the ANTONIO desk and EERO chair duo! Hers: "her" AUSTER sofa.

Are you #matchymatchy?

Manon: My daughter Roma is my muse, so of course we're Matchy-Matchy, and we love it!

Laura: Yes, more than ever!
