SEASON 4 - EPISODE 3

At home with The Daily Deb

[NVG] Hello Déborah! Can you tell us a bit more about yourself — who you are and what you do?

I’m Deborah Reyner Sebag, mother of three, content creator and fashion consultant, as well as a digital strategist for brands looking to grow their brand awareness in France. I also have a ceramics brand called Maison VESSEL.

[NVG] How would you describe the style of your interior? Where do you find your inspiration?

My interior is minimalist without falling into the excess that this trend can sometimes reach. I need to live in a clean, uncluttered environment, but I bring personality into it with touches of color and a mix of fabrics and materials. I love the balance between raw and refined.

[NVG] Which room in your apartment do you feel the best in?

Probably my bedroom, because that’s where I find peace! I can relax there and retreat into my master suite, which is a true cocoon.

[NVG] What advice would you give to someone about to start their own interior design project?

To gather inspiration: there are so many beautiful things out there today, both online and in print, that it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Not to mention all the art-related events that are becoming more accessible around the world — they’re incredibly inspiring.

[NVG] What was your vision for this apartment the first time you walked in? And how has that vision evolved over time?

My goal was to create clarity, with an aesthetic and minimalist atmosphere by mixing materials, volumes, textures, and a few touches of color. But at first, I was very “WHITE.” I moved in during the big white bouclé trend. Honestly, three years later, despite many rounds of washing the rug and sofas, I gave up: I wanted a patterned, darker rug and a tweed sofa — which, in the end, give even more character to our living room.

[NVG] Why did you choose NV GALLERY pieces? What draws you to our world?

I dress by mixing and matching different brands, and I like to take the same approach when furnishing our apartment. I think it’s great to find beautiful pieces from accessible brands like NV and pair them with designer or vintage items to elevate the whole look.

[NVG] Do you have a favorite NV GALLERY piece in your home? What makes it special?

I’d say the ANDERS mirror in my bathroom, which looks like it’s embedded in the stone. I love its organic shape — almost invisible, yet very unique at the same time.

[NVG] As someone passionate about fashion, would you say your interior style and your fashion style are similar?

Answering these questions, I’m realizing that everything is super aligned. That’s actually quite reassuring, lol.

[NVG] And if your apartment could speak, what would it say about you?

That it belongs to someone with great taste… lol.

I’m not really sure — tastes differ, after all… but one thing’s certain: it feels good to be here.

[NVG] Tell us about an object or a piece of furniture in your home that has a special story.

Probably my collection of tableware — Vessel, but also pieces from other brands. I love hosting people and changing up the table setting for every occasion.

[NVG] And if your apartment could speak, what would it say about you?

That it belongs to someone with great taste… lol.

I’m not really sure — everyone has their own style… but it’s definitely a place where you feel good.
