-Hello, can you introduce yourself? Can you introduce your work and your agency?
I'm a decorator who's just got back into the business. I spent the first few years of my life in a completely different field before realising that I wasn't in the right place. For me, interior design is a way of creating living spaces that tell a story, arouse emotions and improve the quality of our daily lives. I know that every environment can have a positive influence on our mood, productivity and general well-being. Today, as an interior designer, my aim is to create interiors that resemble my customers by respecting a harmony of colours, materials, shapes, light, etc.
-Could you tell us about your project? What was the background to this project?
My client Eugénie, who lives in San Francisco, bought an 85 square metre Haussmann-style flat in the heart of the 18th arrondissement of Paris, with the aim of making it her pied-à-terre when she visited the capital. The challenge of this project was to completely transform this empty space, while preserving its original charm.
-What were your inspirations for this project?
In this flat, one thing jumps out at you: its authentic charm. So it was essential for me to preserve this natural elegance. So rather than hide this charm under superfluous layers, my mission was to give it an extra touch of nobility, while preserving its soul. The main idea was to favour noble, authentic and raw materials, such as wood, travertine and cotton, to accentuate the very essence of the flat. I wanted to enhance the natural beauty of the space, while offering a touch of contemporary sophistication.
-What do you think of NV GALLERY?
To me, NV GALLERY embodies the perfect blend of nobility, rusticity and design. The furniture in the collection was the answer I was looking for for this flat, thanks to its shapes and materials.
