At home With Noholita | Season 2 - Episode 1
AT HOME WITH NOHOLITA
Today, let's discover Noholita's newly renovated home. 230 m2 spread over three levels, where the rooms have been redesigned for functionality, with bespoke closets, plenty of storage and a style still inspired by vacation homes, inside and out.
- Hello Camille, can you introduce yourself?
My name is Camille, better known as Noholita, I'm 31 and I live in Paris.
- How would you define your interior style? What inspires you?
My interior style is a mix of all my travels and everything I loved there. It's a mix of Ibiza, Tulum and a bit of Los Angeles. I've tried to bring back the inspirations of all those interiors where I feel at home abroad.
- What place do you give to interior design in your daily life?
It's my daily life! I've been a big fan of interior design for years, and it's one of the things that gives me the most pleasure. I love feeling good in my own home, and making sure my interior is harmonious.
- If we've understood correctly, you've renovated everything in this house.
Yes, it's been completely renovated. Originally, it was a loft with a metal Eiffel structure in the style of the New York lofts of 20 years ago. All in all, the work took 9 months. We changed the entire structure of the house, as well as the rooms and their layout. Today, the style is totally different from the original house.
- What was the most stimulating aspect of the renovation project?
The most stimulating part was the whole work and research phase, and I must admit I kind of miss it now! I loved looking for future pieces and furniture for the house.
- How did you go about designing your interior?
I thought of it as a vacation home, I wanted to create a contrast with Paris and make it feel like a trip. We put stone on the floor to recall the houses of the south, parquet on the upper floors and all the paint is limewash. All these little details are designed to bring sunshine into the house. We also designed it to be hyper-functional: with made-to-measure furniture and lots of storage space to leave room for decoration, I wanted as few things as possible lying around the house, so that everything had its place.
- Do you have a lot of antique pieces in your home, and what is your relationship with vintage?
I've hunted out quite a few pieces for the house: armchairs, tables, outdoor furniture, small decorative objects, vases and even crockery. I've always had a reflex to hunt for vintage and second-hand pieces, ever since my first apartment. I love having pieces with a history, so vintage is an integral part of the house.
- What do you love about NV GALLERY? What's your favorite piece?
I love the fact that all the pieces are thought through to the smallest detail, which is one of the things you can't find with other furniture and interior design brands. The designs are qualitative and singular, and what's more, everything at NV GALLERY is vegan! My favorite piece from NV GALLERY would have to be the PLATON armchair - all the details are really well thought out.
- What's the link between your interior and your style?
I wouldn't say there's a real direct link between the two, because my interior is light and white, whereas I very often dress in black. Also, I like to change the style of my outfits, which can be very casual, sportswear or girly, whereas my interior style doesn't change.
- And finally.., what's your current obsession?
My design obsession that I couldn't live without is my BEL AIR outdoor living room by NV GALLERY, it's comfortable and beautiful. Its beautiful taupe and white stripes are reminiscent of Provence and the South!
