Choosing an interior design that expresses sustainable and responsible values, both in its conception and appearance, is now entirely achievable! Find out more about our materials like wood and other natural fibers, offering organic potential and incomparable decoration.

Solid wood

Solid wood is renowned for its robustness. Each piece is unique, depending on the grain of the tree, and we love it as much for its industrial, uniform look as for its rough finishes, which give it a truly original aesthetic.

Engineered wood

Invented in Japan, it is used to offset deforestation. Composed largely of wood flour and plant fibers, our engineered wood is high-density for strength. Their texture offers a neat, homogeneous result. All our engineered wood + wood skins are E1 certified. Class E1 corresponds to formaldehyde emissions of less than 0.124 mg/m3 in ambient air.

Wooden skin

Our engineered woods are covered with noble wood skins: walnut, ash, oak... species that can be found in abundance in the forests. These skins can be stained for added character. They are resistant and come from legal sources (see FSC).

Acacia wood

We use it mainly for outdoor furniture, as it withstands climatic conditions well and represents a more durable alternative. We preserve the natural, raw look of each piece of wood, which is why all our products are unique. For outdoor use, don't hesitate to protect your wood with oil.

Rattan cane

A weaving technique using rattan canes, cannage is being reinvented in the world of home décor, and we love its use in a variety of settings. It brings a soft, bohemian feel to certain rooms, while remaining chic and timeless.

* Our furniture is handcrafted by human hands, so you'll find some irregularities due to the charm of craftsmanship.

Wood is sensitive to sunlight. We advise you not to expose your furniture to direct sunlight to avoid any marking or lightening.

We recommend using a soft cloth slightly dampened with soapy water to clean your wooden furniture.

Any liquid can damage wood. If you spill anything on your surfaces, be sure to mop it up quickly.

When moving objects on your furniture, don't slide them, but lift them up to avoid scratches.

Never place wet or hot objects directly on your furniture: use place mats, coasters or other protective surfaces.

Our tables made of real marble are treated with waterproof. So you can rest assured, there's no risk of glass marks or water absorption on your stone. However, be sure to mop up spills quickly to avoid staining.

Marble is a naturally fire-resistant material

Our genuine marble stones are selected with the greatest care: grey and grey château marble, jazz marble or our carrera marble. Each marble slab has its own patterns or variations in veining, or the pleasure of owning a unique piece of furniture.

For daily cleaning after use/meal, maintenance is simple: a damp cloth or sponge is all you need.

Avoid acidic products or aggressive detergents.

Marble-effect stone is a blend of granulated natural marble and quartz. This blend makes it more resistant than pure marble and much more suitable for use as a coffee or dining table.

Be careful, however, with overly acidic liquids and cleaning products (vinegar, red wine, lemon, fruit juice and chemicals such as limescale removers), which can damage stone irreparably.

Quickly wipe away stains with a soft cloth slightly dampened with soapy water.

Travertine is a natural stone with warm tones and varying degrees of asperities - holes created naturally by the escape of carbon dioxide and CO2 bubbles during its development. Each piece made from travertine stone is therefore unique.
Travertine is naturally very resistant and durable. And contrary to what you might think, it's easy to care for: a soft, damp cloth is all you need to clean this stone. In fact, our travertine tables have benefited from a waterproof treatment. No need to worry about traces of glass or other liquid absorption.
However, be sure to mop up spills promptly to avoid staining.

Travertine is a naturally fire-resistant material.

We recommend using a soft cloth soaked very lightly in soapy water, or white vinegar diluted in water to maintain your glass furniture.

To minimize scratches, don't hesitate to use coasters. When moving objects on your furniture, don't slide them, but lift them up to avoid scratches. Never place wet or hot objects directly on your furniture: use place mats, coasters or other protective surfaces.

We only use tempered glass, which is more resistant than conventional glass, but be careful not to subject it to shocks, as it remains a fragile material.

Martindale

The Martindale method is used to test the abrasion resistance of textiles.

Textile samples are subjected to predefined cycles of rubbing with a disc having an abrasive surface and subjected to a specified pressure. The test ends when the first two threads of the fabric are torn or, in the case of knitwear, when a hole is formed. The device records the number of disc rotations when this condition is reached.

→ High Martindale value = high abrasion resistance

Weaving density

Grams per square meter is the weight of a fabric per unit area. As a general rule, the lighter the fabric, the more supple it is, and the heavier it is, the more opaque and resistant it is.

Pilling

Pilling represents loose strands or balls of fiber that rise to the surface of the fabric and twist when sitting or rubbing against the furniture.

Pilling is not a fabric defect, nor does it indicate poor quality.

Pilling does not indicate that your fabric is wearing out or disintegrating. Pilling is a normal phenomenon caused by regular use of the product, but it does not affect the durability or overall functionality of the fabric.

We recommend using a lint razor to remove pilling from your furniture.

Colorfastness

Light fastness refers to the degree to which colored fabrics fade when exposed to sunlight.

We therefore advise you to avoid placing your textile products in direct sunlight, such as against a south-facing bay window.

Stain-resistant fabric

Stain-repellent fabrics can be washed in clear water in the event of a stain, without being damaged.

Fireproof fabric

When a fabric is described as ""fire-resistant"", this means that it has been treated or manufactured to have flame-retardant or flame-retardant properties. These properties are designed to reduce the fabric's flammability and slow the spread of fire.

It's important to note that being labeled ""fire-resistant"" does not mean that the fabric is totally flame-retardant or immune to burns. Fire-resistant fabrics are designed to meet specific safety standards and offer a higher level of fire resistance than standard fabrics. However, they still have their limits and will eventually burn if exposed to extreme heat or flame over a prolonged period.

Natural, stain-removing tip, tested and approved by our teams:

Thanks to its absorbent properties, terre de sommières is ideal for getting rid of stains, especially those caused by grease. It is suitable for a multitude of textiles, even the most delicate, and also helps neutralize unpleasant stain odors. Non-toxic and non-flammable.

1. Remove excess liquid or grease with absorbent paper.

2. Then sprinkle generously with terre de sommières and leave for 1 to 2 hours, or overnight for best results, depending on the nature of the stain.

3. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove powder residues.

Don't hesitate to repeat the operation if necessary.

Light fabrics We recommend the use of a waterproofing spray to optimize their lifespan.

Loop fabrics We recommend the use of an anti-pilling device to optimize their lifespan.

If you have any doubts or need advice, don't hesitate to contact us.

Our top-quality velvets are selected with particular care to ensure they won't retain dust, so you don't have to worry about tedious maintenance. They benefit from a high martindale test to guarantee long-term use.

For ideal care of your items we recommend :

. Use a soft textile brush - unsuitable or hard-bristled brushes should be avoided. For rapid vacuuming, we also advise against using maximum power, as too much suction can damage the fabric.

. If your fabric is marked over time by daily wear, you can use the pattemouille technique: moisten a clean cotton pad, place it on the fabric and run your iron over the surface. This will enable you to remove any marks easily.

. For light-colored velvets: we recommend the use of a waterproofing spray to optimize their lifespan.

If you have any doubts or need advice, don't hesitate to contact us.

Aperitifs with friends, children playing with felt pens,... Your sofa needs cleaning?

First, remove the stain yourself (paper towel, terre de sommières, bicarbonate of soda, etc... depending on the model of your sofa).

If you are starting your spring cleaning and would like to wash your cover completely, we recommend dry-cleaning only so as not to distort the nature of your sofa cover.

If you have any doubts or need advice, don't hesitate to contact us.

Mistakes not to be made

. To avoid altering the color of your fabric, don't expose your sofa to direct sunlight, especially if it's filtered through bay windows.

. Wet your sofa with lots of water: beware of the risk of a halo!

. Test a product directly on your fabric: first try it on an inconspicuous corner or a fabric sample.

. Do not consult recommendations

To preserve your outdoor furniture, we recommend protecting it from the rain with a waterproof tarpaulin, or bringing it inside during the winter if possible.

Your furniture also needs to be protected from frost and damp.

Your wooden furniture can be protected with a varnish for outdoor use.

The most efficient and economical bulbs on the market are LED bulbs.

In the case of a cool-white LED bulb (between 5500°K and 6500°K), you'll get a brighter rendering to the eye. As this color temperature is more aggressive, you'll have the impression of better lighting, but in reality, it won't be any more effective than neutral white.

Neutral white LED bulbs (between 3500°K and 5500°K) guarantee the most natural, daylight-like light.

We prefer 2700°K LED bulbs and strips, which offer a warm light for ambient lighting.
